Ahmed about this drawing:
“Well this person is me and I am trying to talk in this work about not recovering because you know the war is back again so I did not take enough time for my mind and body to recover and now I feel very scattered and also I am holding a cactus in my hand which is a symbol of patience here in Palestine“
“How can a person lose everything he owns and not lose his mind?”
Since he himself is not able to showcase his work caused by the horrible circumstances concerning Gaza. He lost his house and like so many Gazans, lives in a tent in Rafah now. Living day by day. Not knowing what the next day will bring.
Ahmed made a photo journal and drawing diary of the destruction and loss, this can be seen on his instagram account. A few artworks he made since the war can be seen here.
